A stupendous vintage for this Yountville property, packed from first scent with a dark, loamy presence and yet perfectly bright and transparent in its flavors of kirsch, olive, dark stones, blue fruit. There’s remarkable density, and fine tannins and a persistence to the taste signals potential to evolve for at least a couple of decades.
